Workplace mental health expert Bill Howatt to join the Conference Board of Canada

OTTAWA, Oct. 22, 2018 /CNW/ - The Conference Board of Canada is pleased to announce that one of Canada's top experts in workplace productivity and mental health, Dr. Bill Howatt, will join the organization in November. As the Chief of Research, Workforce Productivity, Dr. Howatt will lead the Board's applied research programs in workplace wellness, mental health, and workforce productivity.
"I look forward to building on the Conference Board's solid foundation of research on issues of workplace wellness and productivity," said Dr. Howatt. "My goal is to grow the impact of our work while helping Canadian organizations ensure their workplaces are healthier, happier, and more productive."
Dr. Howatt is a behavioural scientist with over 30 years of experience in the field of mental health, addiction, and human resources consulting. Most recently, he was Chief of Research and Development, Workforce Productivity at Morneau Shepell where he launched a total health consulting strategy designed to improve health engagement and productivity in Canadian organizations.

Bill's professional experience is supported by a solid academic background, which includes a BSc and BA from Acadia University, an MEd from The University of New Brunswick, and an MSc and PhD from Walden University. He also completed a Post Doctorate Behavioural Science program at UCLA.
