Balboa Horizons To Become In-Network Provider for More Clients Orange County rehab adding Humana, First Health, Multiplan, and PHCS to partner roster

COSTA MESA, Calif., Nov. 7, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Balboa Horizons, a residential addiction-treatment center, will become an in-network provider to more premier insurers starting Nov. 7, 2018 with First Health, Multiplan and PHCS. Humana will be added Dec. 1.

The costs of substance-abuse treatment can be substantial. Although more insurance providers are covering rehab, it still benefits patients to seek in-network care. Through its partnerships with several of the largest providers in Southern California, Balboa Horizons hopes to help more people get the treatment they need at a lower out-of-pocket cost.

"Only about 10 percent of the 22 million Americans who need substance abuse treatment actually get it. Cost is a big reason why. We hope that becoming in-network for more providers helps us get more people the treatment they desperately need," said Katy Alexander, director of admissions for Balboa Horizons.

In addition to lower costs, being in-network should reassure clients that Balboa Horizons meets rigorous quality standards required by insurers. Benchmarks for such standards include accreditations and licensed and certified staff. This added peace of mind can be very helpful when comparing rehab options.

"We believe in our program and the positive outcomes that we have established over the past 14 years," added Alexander. "Anything that helps us lead more clients down the path to sustained sobriety is something we'll continue to pursue."

Balboa Horizons has provided richly personalized addiction treatment to men and women in Southern California since 2004.
