Zymergen Appoints Jens Peter Clausen as Senior Vice President, Global Manufacturing

Zymergen, the world's first molecular manufacturing technology company, announced today the appointment of Jens Peter Clausen as Senior Vice President, Global Manufacturing. With over 20 years of experience scaling global innovation in manufacturing and engineering, Clausen will oversee Zymergen’s rapidly growing manufacturing team. In this role, he will focus on building process engineering and operations teams focused on the acceleration of product development. He will report to co-founder, Jed Dean.

Prior to joining Zymergen, Clausen served as Vice President of Gigafactory at Tesla, overseeing operations. Previously, he spent over 13 years at LEGO Group in various management and executive roles in operations and manufacturing. Jens earned his Master's degree in MMT innovation & technology from Aalborg University and has a Bachelor's degree in engineering from Aarhus University.

This leadership expansion follows Zymergen’s Series C funding of over $400 million announced in December.
