Toft Group Executive Search Announces New San Francisco Bay Area Headquarters

PR Newswire

SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 3, 2019

SAN FRANCISCO, Jan. 3, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Toft Group Executive Search, a global life sciences and healthcare executive recruiting firm, announced today that it has expanded its presence in the San Francisco Bay Area and designated its location at 400 Oyster Point Boulevard, South San Francisco, as its new corporate headquarters to help combat the regional talent crisis. Toft Group will host an open-house for the life sciences and digital health communities in the Bay Area and Silicon Valley at its new headquarters on February 7, 2019. Toft Group's Founder and CEO, Robin Toft, will also be signing copies of her new book WE CAN™, The Executive Women's Guide to Career Advancement at the event.

"By establishing our San Francisco office as our new headquarters, we are going into the epicenter of the talent crisis to really make a difference on this pressing issue," said Toft. "In 2018, the competition for top talent at biotech, pharmaceutical and digital health companies reached a boil," Toft continued. "With unemployment at an all-time low and the city of San Francisco facing increasing pressures around the high cost of housing and transportation, the region has fast become a candidate's market – and a hiring manager's hurdle."

As a leader in recruiting for life science and healthcare high tech companies in California, Toft Group is well versed in the talent crisis facing these industries, and the need for a more diverse pool of talent to ensure that companies continue to grow and meet their objectives. Unlike other executive search firms, Toft Group places women in nearly half of its executive roles, helping to close the diversity gap and improve innovation and financial performance at the most senior levels in the healthcare industry.

Added Toft, "One way that Toft Group plans to continue making a difference is through diversity hiring. Last year, more than 40% of the candidates we placed into executive roles were women – and we plan to reach 50% in 2019. When tapped into correctly, the pool of female candidates available to Bay Area companies will create a stronger, more stable and more competitive workforce."

Toft Group advances diversity and inclusion through its "WE CAN" (Women's Executive Career Advancement Network) network of VP through C-level women in San Francisco and San Diego. WE CAN was founded by Toft Group in San Francisco in 2016 and enables leading executive women to mentor and collaborate with talented executives at their level to disseminate best practices for hiring and other key talent initiatives more quickly throughout the region. In 2019, Toft Group will host multiple WE CAN events in the San Francisco and San Diego markets.
