Cooperative Services of Florida and Vizient form a Strategic Partnership
Vizient and Cooperative Services of Florida (CSF) announced today that they have signed a strategic membership agreement. Vizient will serve as the preferred national group purchasing organization (GPO) and strategic cost management partner for CSF and their member health systems. The agreement also includes an aggregation group development strategy and all analytics modules within the Vizient Savings ActualyzerTM platform.
“This is an alignment that makes sense for our members,” said Bob Boswell, president and CEO of LeeSar/CSF. “We will access Vizient’s broader contract portfolio while strengthening the CSF sourcing model through increased analytics capabilities, technologies and onsite support. CSF will maintain its regional GPO identity and will focus on building clinical alignment with members’ physicians and clinicians to provide stronger regional contracts for specialty supplies, drugs, services, and capital equipment.”
Cooperative Services of Florida represents four health systems in Florida. Lee Health is the largest and only community-owned healthcare system in SW Florida with a total of 1,457 beds. Sarasota Memorial, an 819 bed hospital, is among the largest and highest rated public health systems in Florida. Central Florida Health includes Leesburg Regional Medical Center with 329 beds, the Villages Regional Hospital with 307 beds and Leesburg Rehabilitation Hospital. By aligning our capabilities with the goals of CSF, we believe that we can help accelerate growth in their membership through our joint sourcing and contracting services strategy. Additionally, we believe that their members will benefit from the cost savings insights and opportunities that come from our market-leading supply chain analytics platform,” said Rand Ballard, chief customer officer for Vizient.
