Cannabis Science Conference Announces East Coast Expansion to Baltimore, Maryland with Keynote Speakers Montel Williams and Ricki Lake
BALTIMORE, Jan. 22, 2019
BALTIMORE, Jan. 22, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Cannabis Science Conference, the world's largest and most technical scientific cannabis event, will host its first east coast conference this April 8-10, 2019, at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore, Maryland. The Cannabis Science Conference, organized by CSC Events, LLC, will feature television icons and cannabis advocates, Montel Williams and Ricki Lake, along with over 75 expert presenters.
The conference will focus on three distinct tracks dedicated to providing attendees with a variety of innovative content designed by cannabis industry experts. The three tracks include the Analytical Cannabis Track, the Medical Cannabis Track, and the Cultivation Science Track.
"Our goal is to provide our attendees with the most knowledge on this rapidly evolving industry by providing them with the top experts in the cannabis industry year after year," said Joshua Crossney, President, CEO, and Founder of CSC Events, LLC. "This year's conference brings together laboratory personel, medical professionals, entrepreneurs, patients, plant experts, scientists and interested novices who are all passionate about improving and advancing cannabis science."
The 2019 Cannabis Science Conference East will be CSC Event's fourth Cannabis Science Conference since the launch of its flagship event in October of 2016 in Portland, Oregon. This will be the first time CSC Events expands its footprint to include the East Coast.
Crossney continued, "I look forward to bringing this wealth of knowledge to the East Coast market, and specifically to my hometown of Baltimore. We will host two shows this year, with the first being in Baltimore and the second in September in Oregon, to address an increasing demand for the education and groundbreaking insights Cannabis Science Conference provides both participants and attendees."
The Baltimore event is expected to bring in at least 2,000 attendees and 110 vendors from around the world – growing dramatically from the first show in 2016 that brought in a total of 800 attendees and 75 vendors.
"We are excited to see tremendous growth in many types of cannabusinesses on the East Coast, especially in academia. One area we are highlighting at the 2019 CSS East is the development of academic medicinal plant program and cannabis science curricula. This is directly in line with the CSC's focus on cannabis quality and education," Crossney added.
In addition, Weed the People Executive Producer Ricki Lake will be joined by the film's director Abby Epstein during a special screening of the film on the evening of April 9. The documentary details the anti-cancer properties of cannabis oil and the lack of action by the government to aid both scientific research in the area and the changing of its Schedule 1 drug status.
In addition to speakers, there will be a variety of technical poster presentations, roundtable discussions and an exhibit hall designed to allow industry experts to demonstrate techniques, instruments, and technologies to ultimately advance the cannabis market. This includes CSC Events pre-conference, Canna Boot Camp, the expo's full-day, interactive workshop that covers everything from Cultivation, Pre-Processing, Sample Preparation, Analytical Testing and Extraction. Canna Boot Camp will be hosted at Diamond Sponsor, Evermore Cannabis Company, a Maryland licensed cultivation and processing facility.
Cannabis Science Conference is proud to announce Shimadzu Scientific Instruments as the event's Title Sponsor. Tickets for the 2019 Cannabis Science Conference East and Canna Boot Camp are now available at http://www.CannabisScienceConference.com.
