Health Mart Welcomes President Nimesh Jhaveri
Nimesh Jhaveri, MBA, RPh, joins the Health Mart family of community pharmacies as president. With 30 years of hands-on pharmacy experience, Jhaveri is responsible for developing strategies supporting the goals and success of more than 5,000 Health Mart pharmacies. In his role, Jhaveri will work hand-in-hand with independently-owned Health Mart pharmacies and help them provide quality healthcare in their local communities.
“Nimesh is a proven leader,” said Chris Dimos, president of McKesson Retail Solutions. “He began his career as a pharmacy technician and worked his way up to managing several pharmacies before moving to field operations, corporate pharmacy operations, pharmacy systems and health services business development. As an established industry thought leader, we are thrilled to welcome him and his leadership.”
“My priority is to listen and learn, specifically by spending time with Health Mart owners and their customers. With stores across the U.S., we are impacting communities and patients in a meaningful way,” said Jhaveri. “I look forward to experiencing the powerful spirit of independent community pharmacists first-hand. With our industry in a period of unprecedented change, it is a rewarding opportunity to lead the way for independent pharmacy.”
Health Mart pharmacies: independent and strong
Despite changes facing pharmacy, such as declining reimbursements, the increased use of robotics, the shifting healthcare landscape, and new entrants in the marketplace, community pharmacies remain optimistic about the opportunities ahead. Health Mart pharmacies offer an ideal setting to provide patient care that enables a positive impact on medication adherence, improving patient outcomes and reducing healthcare costs.
“Nimesh is the leader we need to take us into the next generation of pharmacy ownership,” said Heather Ferrarese, BS, PharmD, of Bartle’s Health Mart Pharmacy, the 2018 McKesson Pharmacy of the Year winner. “We are all in this together – and with Health Mart – I’m excited to see strategic growth for my business.”
Health Mart pharmacies connect and collaborate
In addition to listening and learning from customers and patients, Jhaveri will meet with owners, pharmacists and technicians at McKesson ideaShare in Orlando from June 26 to 30, 2019. Health Mart pharmacies will come together with industry experts to make meaningful connections and share ideas for building stronger businesses.
“McKesson ideaShare is the opportunity for all of us to unite, learn and grow,” said Jhaveri. “Pharmacy professionals attend for the knowledge, but they will also gain new tools, best practices, and industry insights from peers, necessary to continue to improve their business and deliver better healthcare outcomes for patients.”
