Ortho Clinical Diagnostics Hits the Road with Interactive, Cross-Country Tour of XT Mobile Experience Center
RARITAN, N.J., Jan. 30, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Ortho Clinical Diagnostics today announced the debut of its newly developed, state-of-the-art XT Mobile Experience Center and the kickoff of a 46-week tour of United States labs and hospitals. Dubbed the Ortho neXT Tour, the 18-wheeled mobile experience center is designed to demonstrate Ortho's newest offerings for the clinical lab. Among other new technology, the Ortho neXT Tour will feature Ortho's next-generation analyzer, the VITROS XT® 7600 Integrated System, which was launched in 2018.
"Through the Ortho neXT Tour, we're thrilled to bring the latest in clinical lab technology right to the front doors of labs across the country," said Michael Iskra, president, Ortho North America. "Ortho continues to reimagine what's possible, and we're happy to enable our customers to immerse themselves in our latest innovations and prepare for what's next without a significant interruption to their vital work."
Ortho's VITROS XT 7600 Integrated System tests blood for diseases, conditions and substances. It combines Ortho's proprietary MicroSlide technology -- which, unlike competitors' offerings, does not require water to run – with sophisticated digital imaging, bringing digital chemistry to the clinical lab. In addition, the VITROS® XT System offers the potential to simultaneously perform two diagnostic tests that are typically ordered together, such as cholesterol and triglycerides, increasing throughput without requiring an increase in the lab's footprint.
Clinical labs face pressure to perform increasing volumes of diagnostic tests, often in the face of staff shortages and shrinking hospital space for labsi. The Ortho neXT Tour makes it easier for busy lab professionals to experience the latest innovations in lab technology.
In addition to trying out Ortho's next-generation analyzer, visitors will have the chance to experience Ortho's other offerings for clinical labs and transfusion medicine, such as the market-leading ORTHO VISION® Analyzer, VITROS® Automation Solutions, and Informatics Solutions for data management, as well as the company's award-winning Ortho Care™ customer service and support.
Ortho's XT Mobile Experience Center will begin its journey in Huntington Beach, Calif., in January 2019 and travel across the United States throughout the year.
