VitalConnect Introduces New VistaCenter With Powerful Workflow Capabilities to Maximize Clinical Efficiency

Market-leading workflow with historical and real-time patient data monitoring allows exceptional ease of patient management

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--VitalConnect®, Inc., a leader in remote and in-hospital wearable biosensor technology, today announced it has launched its new version of VistaCenter for cardiac and remote patient monitoring. This new version brings market-leading patient management and monitoring tools such as simplified patient intake, live patient census views, custom notification profiles and report delivery—all designed to streamline workflow and make patient management easier and less time-intensive for physicians.

The newly expanded workflow capabilities from VistaCenter, such as patient census, allow a full view of patient status and the ability to filter reports—which can be viewed, downloaded, printed or signed—in addition to the ability to see real-time or historical patient data, including vital signs and arrhythmia event reports, all from a HIPAA compliant login. These robust features not only streamline physician workflow, but also allow for easier patient management.

As an entirely web-based solution, VistaCenter requires no elaborate system integration. Designed for easy customization into the office or hospital electronic medical record systems, the platform will provide custom notification profiles, assigned during patient intake, to enable scalability from small, independent practices to multi-office organizations with hundreds of clinicians. VistaCenter leverages VitalConnect’s own independent diagnostic testing facility, with certified cardiac monitoring technicians providing 24/7 physician and patient support.

“Our expanded VistaCenter not only capitalizes on the most powerful biosensor available on the market, but it also saves valuable clinical time by making patient management simpler and faster,” said Peter Van Haur, CEO, VitalConnect. “The combination of multiple views of patient data, historically or in real-time, changes the game for how patients can be monitored remotely, or in the hospital setting.”

The latest VistaCenter builds on the VitalPatch RTM mobile cardiac telemetry (MCT) platform from VitalConnect, together offering the only cardiac monitoring solution that provides full access to real-time patient information. The VitalPatch RTM is also the only platform covering four common cardiac monitoring needs: MCT, Holter, extended Holter, and event recorder. The solution allows for continuous, real-time detection of cardiac arrhythmias while simultaneously measuring patient physiological parameters such as movement, respiratory rate, and heart rate. The VitalPatch is powered by the patented VitalCore microprocessor, creating a biosensor that is extremely patient friendly, slim, lightweight, comfortable, and easy to apply. These characteristics help ensure high patient compliance for extended monitoring periods as patients have a flexible patch requiring no assembly or charging, ensuring minimal disruption.

This latest enhancement of VistaCenter builds on VitalConnect’s 2020 launch of Extended Holter NOW and early 2021 launch of MCT services. Since launch, these services have been successfully utilized in numerous cardiology practices to safely monitor patients in and outside of the hospital setting.

Founded in 2011, VitalConnect has deployed more than 200,000 patches across the world, including care facilities such as Brigham and Women’s, Hackensack Medical Center, Northwell Health, and John Radcliffe Hospital-Oxford University. The VitalPatch allows real-time remote or in-hospital monitoring, allowing physicians to optimize the delivery of care to their patients.
