Max Müller to be new CEO of TeleClinic, taking over from founder and former CEO Katharina Jünger

Munich, 28 March 2022. Katharina Jünger, the founder and CEO of TeleClinic GmbH, is leaving the company at her own request with effect from 1 April 2022 to take on new professional challenges following her parental leave. Long-standing co-managing director Max Müller will take on her tasks and responsibilities. Together, the two made TeleClinic what it is today – the leading telemedicine platform in Germany.

Since 2015, Katharina Jünger has built up TeleClinic into the leading platform for online doctor’s consultations in Germany. Following the change of ownership in July 2020, she managed the successful integration of TeleClinic into the Zur Rose Group. Thanks to its high quality standards, TeleClinic has now secured its position with doctors and patients as the first port of call for digital healthcare. Every month, doctors registered in Germany treat tens of thousands of patients and the company remains on the growth track. Under the leadership double act to date, TeleClinic has played a major role in shaping the digital healthcare market in Germany. During the coronavirus pandemic in particular, telemedicine made an important contribution to providing healthcare across the country. Patients can consult a doctor online by video and be given prescriptions and sick notes.

Walter Hess, Head Germany at the Zur Rose Group, said: “Katharina Jünger has shown great dedication and personal commitment in building TeleClinic up to be a pioneer and leading provider of telemedical services in Germany, actively driving ahead the digitalisation of the healthcare system. On behalf of the Management Board I would like to thank her for the successful time we have spent together and wish her every success and all the best personally in her ambition to set up many more strong companies.”

Katharina Jünger will be succeeded by Max Müller. As co-managing director and COO of TeleClinic, Max Müller is very familiar with the operating telemedicine business, the company’s strategic projects and the opportunities and challenges arising from digitalisation in Germany. Walter Hess added: “As COO, Max Müller built TeleClinic up into a rapidly growing provider of telemedicine. He has deep marketing and product expertise and as the new CEO he will lead TeleClinic into the next phase of its development within the Zur Rose Group.”
