3E Acquires Supply Chain Software Platform, Toxnot
Acquisition supports leading global EHS&S and product compliance firm’s accelerated investment in supply chain transparency and sustainability
CARLSBAD, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--3E, the leading global provider of intelligent compliance solutions for chemical and workplace safety, product stewardship and sustainable supply chains, today announced the acquisition of Toxnot, a software as a service (SaaS) platform that enables product compliance and sustainability within supply chains. The acquisition supports 3E’s continued investment in its suite of supply chain compliance offerings, enabling companies to better solve their increasingly complex supply chain challenges.
Toxnot meets the growing need of corporations across the globe for supply chain compliance. The company’s modern and flexible platform facilitates the collection, management and sharing of information across value chains, enabling compliance, sustainability reporting, circularity and supply chain management. Toxnot has gained significant traction across multiple sectors, such as the manufacturing and technology industries.
“Our goal at 3E has always been to make the world a safer place through innovative compliance solutions,” said Greg Gartland, CEO of 3E. “In Toxnot, we found a partner with a market leading SaaS offering focused on our shared vision of achieving sustainability across global supply chains. This acquisition of Toxnot marks an important step in our ambitious growth agenda.”
The Toxnot platform allows customers to proactively manage their increasingly complex supply chains and better handle their expanding global regulatory compliance needs. Toxnot allows users to create digital product passports that can be shared with participants across the entire value chain – both upstream and downstream participants – via the Toxnot Exchange. The Toxnot Exchange allows suppliers to have complete control over how much data is shared, and who it is shared with. Downstream manufacturers can then leverage the data to screen for chemical hazards and design safer, more sustainable products.
“We’re excited to join 3E and bring our platform to a larger audience,” said Toxnot co-founder and CEO, Pete Girard. "3E has a strong reputation of delivering innovative compliance solutions and we look forward to working together to provide even better outcomes for our customers. Coupling our flexible and scalable software solution with 3E’s deep regulatory domain expertise enables us to advance our mission of empowering clients to achieve compliance today, sustainability tomorrow and circularity forever.”
Bill Hoffman, co-founder and CTO of Toxnot, said, “We’re thrilled to join 3E. They have the scale and resources to help us take Toxnot to the next level, and we're excited to work with them to accelerate the pace of innovation in providing supply chain transparency across global supply chains. Both Toxnot and 3E’s customers will benefit from the combination of technology, expertise, and scale.”
