Maryland Tech Council Welcomes New Chair and Slate of Industry Leaders to its Board of Directors

FREDERICK, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Maryland Tech Council (MTC), the largest technology and life sciences trade association in the state, today welcomed a new chair and slate of technology and life sciences leaders to its board of directors. The new members join the board as MTC enjoys rapid growth in its membership, educational programs, and workforce development initiatives.

The board also elected Brad Stewart, Senior Vice President of Business Development at Montgomery County Economic Development Corporation, as its Board Chair, and Steven M. Walker, Head of Global Marketing for Early Portfolio Strategy at GlaxoSmithKline, as Chairman of Maryland Life Sciences.

MTC has grown its membership to more than 730 member organizations, including technology and life sciences companies, government agencies, nonprofits, and industry solution providers. It has also created BioHub Maryland, a skills training solution for the life sciences industry, which is expected to launch its first cohort of trainees this Fall.
