Boom in life science recruitment leads to ARx expansion plans

Brighton, UK, Jan 29 2024 – ARx, a leading brand in Life Science recruitment services internationally. Coming off the back of a huge year for the company, has entered into their “season of growth” and are creating a whole new team.

The company, which has been run by the same family for over a Decade and a Half, is nestled in the beautiful countryside of the Sussex downs, in the Sussex University Science Park.  Surrounded by innovation and cutting edge success, ARx is in the perfect location to cater to the immense boom that the UK Life Science industry has seen in the last few years.

Company Managing Director, Luke Blaney, said “Life Science is an ever changing industry, and recruitment historically has played the same cards since AG Bell made his first phone call in 1876.  We felt it was time to shake up the old ways and make sure that we adapted with the innovative industry we represent”

The shake up proved hugely rewarding, and coming off the back of a record year, ARx are looking to make some strategic hires into the organisation.

“We’re looking for real professionals.  People who can consult with our clients, not just build data banks.  Recruitment is a people centric industry and I like to think we are one of the few firms where a client would sit in our office and feel happy to be working with our organisation”.

As of writing, ARx is currently building a new team based in Falmer, East Sussex and are connecting with Recruitment professionals with a track record of delivering time and time again for their life science clients.  The particular focus of this first “pod” (team) is on Quality Assurance recruitment, something company Director Luke Blaney knows a little about

“I’ve been hiring Quality roles for most of my career.  The amazing thing about this area is that you get to see the ugly jaggedly bits of life sciences.  The parts that aren’t all product approvals and life saving treatments.  When a client bares all to you, and shows you their vulnerabilities, you really get to work so closely with them that you form a true connection with the businesses you support.”

For now the company are looking to hire Sussex based recruiters as the focus to try and give back to the local area and support the local economy.
