Konovo Names Jessica Santos as Chief Compliance and Privacy Officer

Former Oracle Life Sciences executive and healthcare compliance veteran strengthens Konovo’s commitment to technology-led transformation in life science market research

With over 20 years of experience in healthcare compliance, AI governance, and data privacy, Jessica brings a wealth of market-specific expertise that will further Konovo’s mission to transform research through technology and deliver connected insights for healthcare organizations.

Jessica joins Konovo from Oracle Life Sciences, where as Global Compliance and Quality Director and Data Protection Officer (DPO) she led all global offices in regulation, ethics and compliance initiatives across a range of healthcare technologies and solutions. Prior to Oracle she held compliance leadership roles at Cerner, Kantar Health, Sermo, and TNS and served as an associate professor at the University of Cambridge. Jessica’s extensive experience in overseeing regulatory, ethical, and compliance frameworks in clinical research, real world research (RWR), health economics outcomes research (HEOR), and market research will help her guide Konovo’s executive decision-making as the company expands its global footprint.

As AI reshapes the life sciences research landscape, the need for rigorous governance will only increase. Jessica’s hiring highlights the importance of compliance and privacy in Konovo’s AI vision. She will lead the integration of compliance, AI governance, legal, data privacy, and IT risk into a cohesive operating model—one designed to support Konovo’s sustainable growth and deepen client trust. She will also provide executive oversight of pharmacovigilance and adverse event monitoring, ensuring Konovo meets regulatory expectations across global markets.

A certified AI Governance Professional (AIGP), Jessica is an opinion leader who publishes extensively, and a frequent conference speaker. She is a fellow of the Market Research Society (MRS) and serves on several industry ethics committees, including the BHBIA, EphMRA, MAPS and as co-chair of the ISPOR Code of Conduct Committee. She holds a PhD from Newcastle University and an undergraduate degree from the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology.
