Anumana Named to Fast Company’s 2026 Most Innovative Companies Awards
Recognition highlights Anumana’s leadership in AI-driven cardiovascular detection and clinical decision support
CAMBRIDGE, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Anumana, a leader in AI-powered cardiovascular detection algorithms, today announced it has been named to Fast Company’s prestigious 2026 Most Innovative Companies list in the Medical Devices category. The annual award recognizes hardware and technologies changing how healthcare is delivered and celebrates organizations that are shaping industries through impactful innovation and real-world progress.

Anumana was selected for developing AI-enabled detection algorithms that uncover hidden cardiovascular disease from routine electrocardiograms (ECGs) and for designing solutions that translate those insights into tools that support clinical decision-making at the point of care.
“We’re honored to be recognized by Fast Company and see it as a reflection of the growing role AI will play in transforming how cardiovascular disease is identified and treated,” said Maulik Nanavaty, CEO of Anumana. “At Anumana, we’re focused on helping clinicians detect earlier signals of risk from routine ECG data and turning that information into clinically validated tools that can be used in everyday care to help support better patient outcomes.”
Over the past year, Anumana advanced a portfolio of FDA-cleared and investigational ECG-AI™ software-as-a-medical-device (SaMD) solutions designed to detect early signs of cardiovascular disease using standard 12-lead ECG data. Medicare reimbursement for the company’s ECG-AI LEF (low ejection fraction) algorithm, effective January 2025, marked the first approved payment for an AI-enabled ECG technology designed to identify heart failure risk during routine care.
Building on this foundation, Anumana is expanding its ECG-AI portfolio across structural heart disease, interventional cardiology, and electrophysiology, while increasing access through integrations with leading ECG manufacturers and collaborations with major academic medical centers. The company is also advancing an intraprocedural platform that uses multimodal data and generative AI to deliver real-time insights during complex cardiac procedures.
Supporting this continued innovation is a growing body of clinical and scientific evidence. Over the past year, 19 new peer-reviewed studies have been published, supporting the science behind Anumana’s ECG-AI platform, bringing the total to more than 100 publications. The company also strengthened its intellectual property portfolio with over 300 patents, including 116 granted, reinforcing the clinical and scientific foundation behind its AI innovations.
