The DBPPP is a division of the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing (NCHEC) and seeks to promote professional preparation through work with colleges, universities and accrediting agencies to improve professional preparation programs.

Its educational programs use a scholar-practitioner model to equip a diverse array of learners as social change agents who will promote, educate, motivate and advocate for healthy communities.

We are honored to be recognized by the DBPPP among the top schools in the number of students qualifying for the national health education specialist examination," said Dr. Jörg Westermann, dean of Walden's School of Health Sciences.

The annual list highlighting the top 10 universities in producing the number of eligible candidates for the CHES® examination was designed to spotlight the positive work of universities that encourage and motivate their students to obtain certification.

"We congratulate these universities for their dedication to promoting the importance of certification in their professional preparation programs.
