DESCRIPTION:The Summit is designed to present and discuss what we know and
do not know about how vascular disease presents differently in women\, a
nd how an intervention is impacted by gender.\n\nFeaturing an internation
al faculty\, interactive group discussions and projects\, a mentorship pr
ogram for vascular trainees\, yoga\, and evening reception. After the fla
gship meeting in 2019\, multiple research projects have been undertaken a
ssessing differences in outcomes based on gender. The meeting also serves
to connect women Vascular Surgeons and other practitioners involved in v
ascular disease from students to senior surgeons.\n\nWhat is this meeting
about?Topics include the broad spectrum of vascular disorders including
 peripheral arterial disease\, cerebrovascular disease\, aortic aneurysms\
, aortic dissections\, access\, and venous disease. Interactive group dis
cussions will allow participants to ask questions and to work together to
develop future research projects. Last year\, we were able to fund 1 res
earch project which developed out of the meeting\, and it is our hope to
continue this process\, encouraging women to pursue research together and
focusing on gender differences in vascular disease.\n\nThe meeting is be
ing held in Buffalo New York\, at the University of Buffalo at the Gates
Vascular Institute Clinical and TranslationalResearch Center\n\nWe hope t
o see you in Buffalo!\n\nWho should attend the Summit?\n\nVascular Surgeo
