 an Congress of Internal Medicine (ECIM) taking place on 9-11 June in Mala
 ga\, Spain.\n\nThe successful ECIM 2021 Virtual Congress demonstrated tha
 t we need a place to connect and share our experiences now more than ever
 . It is our priority to facilitate acquiring expert knowledge\, learning\
 , and sharing experiences\, and discussing the latest breakthrough in the
  clinical areas related to internal medicine.\n\nECIM 2022 will once agai
 n focus on sharing innovative developments and providing a comprehensive 
 overview of state-of-the art treatment of common conditions in internal m
 edicine practice. The slogan of ECIM 2022\, “Internal Medicine in the Fro
 nt Line of Health Care”\, highlights the leading role that internal medic
 ine plays in providing health care to communities\, particularly in the c
 urrent environment. The current COVID-19 pandemic has confirmed the Inter
 nal Medicine must be one of the cornerstones of the European health care 
 systems. Our holistic person-centered approach has been crucial to unders
 tand this new complex and multisystemic disease\, to provide a comprehens
 ive care to patients and to assure an efficient use of the resources.\n\n
 We are excited to bring together physicians\, young researchers\, and lea
 ders in the field\, and provide a lively platform to learn and share thei
 r knowledge and views in a creative and engaging setting at the beautiful
  city of Malaga. The three-day programme built around excellent scientifi
 c abstract presentations\, educational sessions\, and cutting-edge lectur
 es given by experts in internal medicine will guarantee a memorable congr
 ess.\n\nMalaga is one of Spain’s oldest cities and a recognized cultural 
 hub bursting with places to explore. From the attention-grabbing Pompidou
  Centre and ever-popular Museum Picasso to the street-art-cloaked streets
