DESCRIPTION:The goal of this course is to improve your presentation skills
 . You will learn how to deliver impactful presentations in any setting\, 
 including pitches\, meetings\, presentations\, and training sessions. Add
 itionally\, you will acquire skills that can be applied to online\, virtu
 al events\, and recordings of talks and webinars.\n\nWhat will we cover?\
 nThere’s space to customise the workshop a little depending on what parti
 cipants ask for on the day\, but the basic starting point is that the fir
 st session will be dedicated to structure and design for your presentatio
 n and slides\, while the second session will focus more on improving deli
 very.\n\nFor participants who want to\, the latter parts of the second se
 ssion will be given over to trying out parts of a presentation and gettin
 g structured evidence-based feedback. We recommend that if you want to tr
 y out your new skills like this you set aside time between the two sessio
 ns to create the material you want to use: simply using an old presentati
 on is counterproductive.\n\nSession 1 – Creating an Effective Presentatio
 n\n\n\nUnderstanding what presentations can and can’t do and when to do s
 o\nDifferent ways to open your presentation\nStructuring your presentatio
 n for optimum interest from your audience\nThe five big principles of sli
 de design for maximising what your audience remembers\nTactics for ending
  your presentation\nHow to handle questions\nTools for explaining your po
 int very quickly\n\nSession 2 – Delivering your Presentation\n\n\nHandlin
 g nerves and appearing authoritative\nDifferences between face to face an
 d online presentations\nUsing your voice and body language for credibilit
 y and impact\nLooking at good and bad presentations to see what we can le
 arn\nWhen to use stories in your presentations\nPractical session for par
 ticipants who want to get involved\n\nWho is the course for?\nThis course
  is recommended for you if you’re working in a healthcare communications 
 role (such as in account management or a medical writing role)\, or if yo
 u have occasional training\, teaching\, reporting or outreach roles.\n\nH
 ow is it delivered?\n2x 3 hour training session delivered online\, for a 
 group of up to ten participants. This session will contain a mix of prese
 ntations\, group work\, case studies and individual exercises. In the fin
 al session\, participants will have the opportunity to deliver a short pr
 esentation to the group to practice their skills.\n\nThe style of deliver
 y is semi-formal\, with some time for questions and reflection\, using a 
 dedicated studio\, but as there’s a lot of material to cover\, the course
  will be focused on passing on information for you to work on later.\n\nT
 here will also be some exercises to try out between sessions.\n\nAt the e
