;Transformative Approaches in Medicinal Chemistry\, with Applications in
Cancer Research.\n\nCourse Outline\n\nTechnologies for drug discovery are
constantly evolving. Significant developments within the last 20 years r
ange from the development of DNA-encoded libraries for hit finding and ev
en hit-to-lead optimisation to the reinvigoration of irreversible inhibit
ors resulting in innovative oncology drugs such as osimertinib and sotora
sib.\n\nThis course will cover advanced methods\, new technologies and to
ols available for medicinal chemists\, with a focus on oncology drug disc
 overy\, including fragment based-drug discovery\, DNA-encoded library tec
hnologies\, covalent drug discovery and small molecules that target RNA.
The course will finish with a series of oncology case studies successfull
y utilising these drug discovery technologies for the development of clin
ical candidates and marketed drugs.\n\nCourse Set-up\n\nThis intensive co
