DESCRIPTION:While we have been preparing very actively the 22nd&nbsp\;edit
 ion of ESOC scheduled to take place in Ghent in July 2021\, we have had t
 o take into account the uncertainty of the development of the sanitarian 
 situation due to Covid-19. Therefore\, and together with the ESOC Interna
 tional Committee\, the decision has been taken to postpone the full sympo
 sium in Ghent to July 2023 (www.esoc2023.org)\n\nTo meet\, at least in pa
 rt\, the expectations of many of you who looked forward to participating 
 in this 2021 symposium\, we decided to organise a fully virtual two-day m
 ini-symposium to close the gap until the next edition. This virtual event
  will have four sessions\, with three invited plenary speakers\, the lect
 ure of the&nbsp\;Winner of the “Young Investigator Award 2019" by EuCheMS
  Division Organic Chemistry\, the lecture of&nbsp\;Margaret Faul Women in
  Chemistry Award 2021. A&nbsp\;large number of oral communications select
 ed from submitted abstracts will allow active participation of the young 
 chemists. All participants will also be invited to participate in the vir
 tual poster session which will be open all day\, together with the virtua
 l exhibition hall. Several opportunities to exchange will allow to create
  interaction between symposium participants.\n\nWe look forward to welcom
 ing you at the&nbsp\;European Symposium on Organic Chemistry Virtual Mini
  Symposium&nbsp\;that will take place on July 5-6\, 2021 in a fully digit
 al setting.\n\nAs all ESOC editions\, this prestigious conference aims to
  bring together scientists from Europe and other parts of the world to sh
 are their interests in the field of organic chemistry at large.&nbsp\;The
  programme will be designed to attract organic chemists both from academi
 a and industry.\n
