Assigning Gene Function - novel technologies & high throughput
This will be an exciting meeting which will cover novel genomic technologies and the use of bioinformatics in high throughput data analysis. It will feature academic and industry seminars.
Meetings Chair: Dr. Irina Udalova, Kennedy Institute of Rheumatology,
Date: 16th June Venue: ,

Developing Technologies in Cytokine Detection
Detection of cytokines is often at the heart of medical research, but the multitude of techniques involved, and their complexity can make finding the right technique difficult. This meeting will give an insight into the latest advances in both established techniques, such as ELISPOT and FACS and the more recently developed mulitplex technology for both genes and proteins, such as the Luminex system.
Meetings Chair: Dr Catherine Derry
Date: 20th June Venue: ,

Non-Mammalian Models for Systems Biology
This meeting aims to demonstrate how whole-genome and systems level approaches are progressing with key model systems covering the major non-mammalian species.
Meetings Chair: Dr Steve Russell,
Date: 23th June Venue: ,

ELISPOT technology, tricks and triumphs
The ELISPOT represents the most sensitive technology for the detection of immune cells making signature proteins such as cytokines. It therefore represents the “state-of-the-art” for the detection, measurement and functional analysis of immune cells.
This meeting will highlight new developments in this technique as well as discussing old problems.
Meetings Chairs: Dr Sefina Arif, King’s College, and Dr Colin Dayan,
Date: 4th July Venue: ,
