Hill Dickinson health team grows with new partner hire

Hill Dickinson’s leading national health team continues to grow as new partner Rebecca Hunt joins the firm’s 200-strong health sector practice. Rebecca joins the health litigation team in London where she acts on behalf of NHS organisations in the defence of clinical negligence claims and leads a team of lawyers acting on behalf of NHS Resolution and private insurers.

Rebecca Hunt joins Hill Dickinson from Capsticks Solicitors, where she worked as a partner since 2012. Rebecca brings with her over 15 years’ experience of advising NHS organisations on issues relating to clinical risk and healthcare litigation.

Rebecca has extensive experience in the management of clinical negligence claims and has represented NHS organisations at all stages of the litigation process, advising on complex serious incident investigations involving third parties such as the police and HSE through to representing NHS trusts at trial.

Rebecca has particular expertise in claims involving neurological injury at birth and a special interest in patient safety initiatives in this area. Rebecca’s recent article commenting on NHS Resolution’s report on the first year of its innovative Early Notification Scheme for potential birth brain injuries can be found here.

Welcoming Rebecca to the team, Hill Dickinson’s head of health, Andrew Craggs, said: ‘We’re delighted to have Rebecca join our team in London. As an NHS Resolution nominated partner, Rebecca adds a wealth of additional knowledge and expertise to the team while we continue to grow as the UK’s leading law firm acting on behalf of NHS organisations.’

Hill Dickinson’s national health practice operates out of offices in Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester and London, providing legal advice and support to the NHS and independent healthcare organisations. The firm acts for more than 250 NHS and private bodies and is on all of the national framework agreements – NHS SBS, NHS CPC, HealthTrust Europe, NHS Resolution, Crown Commercial Services and NHS Commercial Alliance.
