MiLaboratories' MiXCR Immune Repertoire Analyzer version 2.1.11 is now available at Illumina BaseSpace(TM)

SAN DIEGO, Nov. 4, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- MiLaboratories LLC, a technology leader in T-cell receptor (TCR) and immunoglobulin (IG) repertoire profiling, reports that an upgraded version of its flagship software product, MiXCR, is now officially available as an Illumina BaseSpace application (https://www.illumina.com/products/by-type/informatics-products/basespace-sequence-hub/apps/milaboratory-mixcr-immune-repertoire-analyzer.html).

MiXCR is a "gold standard" analytical package in the area of T-cell receptors (TCR) and immunoglobulin (IG) repertoire profiling. Analysts apply MiXCR for extracting immune repertoires from any type of sequencing data with any level of TCR/IG coverage, ranging from perfectly enriched libraries to the "rare event" datasets containing several target entities among hundreds of millions of reads. The application also provides post-analysis metrics in form of interactive reports, produced with VDJTools package. Reports include Variable and Joining segment usage, spectratype and sample clonality.

"This release of MiXCR Immune Repertoire Analyzer brings mature versions of our algorithms for repertoire extraction from any type of sequencing data. By answering a few simple questions about the sequencing library origin, users will be able to get the most reliable CDR3 immune repertoire profiles," said Dmitriy Chudakov, CSO at MiLaboratories. "This includes targeted libraries produced by multiplex PCR or 5'RACE, for bulk material or single cells, RNA-Seq, and even Exome-Seq data. MiXCR has very high extraction efficiency, and performs with superb accuracy."

"We are excited to work with MiLaboratory to offer their MiXCR pipeline on BaseSpace™ Sequence Hub," said Kevin Meldrum, VP Product Development at Illumina. "We believe that this tool greatly complements our suite of bioinformatics pipelines and will help streamline analysis options for AmpliSeq™ for Illumina customers."
