Ashfield announces appointment of two new global presidents

4^th December 2019: Ashfield, part of UDG Healthcare plc, a global leader in commercialisation services for the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry, is pleased to announce the promotion of Greg Flynn to President of Ashfield Commercial and Patient Solutions and the appointment Colin Stanley as President of Ashfield Advisory.

Greg Flynn has almost 25 years’ experience working within both the pharmaceutical service and manufacturer sector in Europe, the US and Asia. Greg assumes his position at Ashfield having most recently served as Chief Operating Officer and North American Regional President for Ashfield Commercial and Patient Solutions.

Having spent the first 12 years of his career working within various leadership positions at pharmaceutical companies within the UK, Greg joined Ashfield to help to lead the efforts to further expand and diversify the business. Having spent time within the UK business, Greg relocated to the US in 2010. Following a successful period here, Greg then spent five years in Japan where he successfully established and grew the Ashfield CMIC business into a market leadership position. In 2017, Greg then moved back to the US to lead the North American Operations for the Ashfield Commercial and Patient Solutions, doubling the size of the business during that period.

Colin Stanley has more than 22 years’ experience working in the CRO (Contract Research Organisation) industry. Colin joins Ashfield from ICON plc, his most recent role being President of ICON Functional Services and a member of ICON’s Executive Leadership team.

Prior to this, Colin successfully held various roles at ICON including Chief Operating Officer of DOCS, and Vice President of Clinical Operations for Asia Pacific. Colin has extensive operational, functional and geographic expertise that he will bring to Ashfield’s Advisory businesses. While at ICON, Colin lived and worked in Nashville, Tennessee and Sydney, Australia.
