Creative Diagnostics Further Launches SARS-CoV-2 Magnetic Particles in Response to COVID-19

With years of experience in the pharmaceutical and life science sector, Creative Diagnostics recently introduces a series of SARS-CoV-2 magnetic particles for research applications in Immunoprecipitation and minimum protein purification, such as MagIso™ Anti-SARS-CoV/SARS-CoV-2 Spike S1 Magnetic Particles, MagIso™ Anti-SARS-CoV-2 (2019-nCoV) Spike Magnetic Particles Immunoprecipitation Kit, and Absolute Mag™ SARS-CoV-2 Spike S1 protein Conjugated Magnetic Particles.

Included in the launch are the anti-Coronavirus spike magnetic particles, which are conjugated with anti-Coronavirus spike antibody, and are used for immuneprecipitation (IP) of Coronavirus spike proteins, expressed in vitro expression systems. For IP, the beads are added to a sample containing Coronavirus spike proteins to form a bead-protein complex. The complex is removed from the solution manually using a magnetic separator. The bound Coronavirus spike proteins are dissociated from the magnetic particles using an elution buffer.

Another released product is the Absolute Mag™ SARS-CoV-2 Spike S1 protein Conjugated Magnetic Particles (# WHM-AB04 #), which are obtained by coupling the biotinylated SARS-CoV-2 Spike S1 protein to streptavidin conjugated magnetic particles, and can capture the Anti- SARS-CoV-2 antibody or ACE2 protein from cell or serum sample and easily follow up with other tests, such as immunocapture, biopanning and flow cytometry. These magnetic particles will be supplied as lyophilized powder (from 0.22 µm filtered PBS pH7.4 including 0.05% Tween-20 and 10% trehalose).

"These newly released products are the latest addition to Creative Diagnostics' full suite of useful tools and solutions designed for scientists in their fight against COVID-19. Creative Diagnostics will continue to make every efforts to supply quality products and services, and enable researchers more accesses to make some contribution in this pandemic," said Dr. Jessica Waldorf, chief scientific officer of R&D department, at Creative Diagnostics.

"We are proud to further support global scientists and researchers in these efforts with such new magnetic particles, which allow us to serve their needs directly and help them overcome difficulties during the research. Creative Diagnostics is glad to help advance the development, and we'll make sure that any inquiries will get immediate responses," said Alex, one of a senior scientific officers at Creative Diagnostics.
