New Executive Board Role at Synergy Vision as Growth Drives Transition

from Small to Medium-Sized Enterprise

Independent med comms specialist Synergy Vision is augmenting its executive board to support continued business growth, adding the role of Chief Operating Officer (COO) and recruiting internally to fill the post of Managing Director (MD).

With effect from January 2021, former MD Eileen Gallagher takes on the role of COO, with a clear focus on operational excellence to support ambitious growth targets. Gallagher is part of the founding team that developed Synergy Vision from inception in 2009.

Karine Henderson is appointed Managing Director, remaining client facing and continuing to build Synergy Vision’s strategic and creative offerings. Henderson was previously Director of Medical Strategy, having joined just over one year ago with over 20 years’ healthcare communications experience, across both client and agency settings. Her expertise in strategic planning and communications straddles a diverse range of therapy areas and brands across the product lifecycle. She is passionate about driving better patient experience and outcomes and is excited about the new opportunities that lie ahead.

Ffyona Dawber, Chief Executive Officer and Synergy Vision founder comments: “This new structure allows us to continue our growth plans over the next five years.  2020 has been challenging but allowed our team to innovate and find new ways to deliver for our clients whilst continuing to grow. I feel confident with our plans to develop the company and take Synergy Vision to the next level, and I am delighted to have such and esteemed senior team to take us on the next step in our journey.”

Eileen Gallagher, Chief Operating Officer, explains: “With continued growth, more employees and an increasingly diverse client base this Executive team will allow us to hone our focus. In turn, this will help us to maintain the Synergy Vision people-focused ethos and to continue to deliver the difference for clients.”

Also on the Executive Board, Ffyona Dawber remains as Chief Executive Officer, Sorcha Ferris is Chief Commercial Officer driving global strategy and delivery and Kirsty McAinsh is Chief Financial Officer.

The team is supported by two non-executive directors:

Vonnie Alexander, founder of executive and leadership coaching company I am, has over 20 years marketing services experience working with a raft of blue-chip clients for agencies including Bates/ 141 Communications, Carlson Marketing and RAPP (WWAV Rapp Collins). She also co-founded Kitcatt Nohr which later sold to Publicis.

Barry Dawber, Sales and Marketing Director, Geary's Bakeries Ltd, and previously commercial director at one of Europe's biggest manufacturers of retailer own brand household and personal care goods, brings a fresh perspective to the Executive Board through his knowledge of the FMCG arena.
