Lilly named a finalist in two categories at the Australian HR Awards

Eli Lilly Australia & New Zealand has been shortlisted as an Excellence Awardee in two categories at the prestigious annual Australian HR Awards. The awards bring together companies with the best people strategies from across all industries in Australia. Winners will be selected from the Excellence Awardees at the highly anticipated gala dinner on 3 September.

Lilly is a finalist in the ‘Employer of Choice (100-999)’ category which recognises the best organisation to work for in Australia with 100-999 employees. The nominees are judged on leadership, engagement, communication, and employee benefits.

Jill Schein, Lilly’s Senior Director Human Resources said, “We are thrilled to be recognized as an Employer of Choice Excellence Awardee. As someone who has worked at Lilly for 20 years, I know this is one of the best places to work, and for the Australian HR industry to recognise that, is fantastic!”

The second nod goes to Ben Basil, General Manager of Lilly ANZ. Ben is an Excellence Awardee in the ‘Australian HR Champion (CEO) of the Year’ award. The award recognises a leader who has demonstrated excellence by driving successful HR strategies from the top and putting people at the centre of the organisation. Nominees are judged on leadership, communication, strategy, drive, and results.

Speaking of the nomination, Ben Basil said, “I am incredibly proud of our ANZ team and deeply committed to our collective progress in making Lilly ANZ a place where our employees bring their best, their unique talents and their diverse experiences every day in support of helping to make life better for patients all across Australia and New Zealand.”

“This nomination extends to my fellow ANZ Executive Team Members and one that I proudly share with all of Team Lilly,” he added.
