Creative BioMart Provides a Wide Range of Centromere Proteins for Research Use

Creative BioMart, a world leading biotech company specialized in providing quality protein products and services to customers all over the world now provides a wide selection of centromere proteins for cancer research.

Centromeres are specialized DNA sequences in chromosomes, which hold two daughter chromatids together. Centromeres represent a contractile region of the chromosome in which two identical sister chromatids are most in contact. The centromere is the attachment point of the kinetochore, a highly complex multiprotein structure on which microtubules of the mitotic spindle are immobilized. When all chromosomes are properly attached to the spindle, the kinetochore is responsible for the actual event of chromosome segregation. Errors in centromere or kinetochore function are catastrophic for the cell. This error can lead to abnormal division and chromosomal instability, both of which are frequently observed in cancer cells.

Centromere proteins (CENP) are highly conserved in organisms. CENPA and CENPC are the most extensively studied, and show that they are required for the formation of centromeres and associated kinetochores.

To facilitate scientists with their cancer research, Creative BioMart provides a wide range of cancer protein products like cancer metabolism proteins, cell cycle proteins, signal transduction proteins, cancer immunology proteins, cancer types proteins, invasion microenvironment proteins and oncoprotein & suppression & biomarker.

Up to now, over 80 kinds of centromere proteins are available at Creative BioMart with different source (host) like wheat germ, sf 9 insect cells, e.coli, HEK293, mammalian cells, and the species include human, mouse, rat, Cynomolgus Monkey, Rhesus Macaque, Chicken, and Zebrafish.
