New specialist telemedicine and digital tinnitus solution collaboration levels up clinical support for tinnitus worldwide

Today, U.S. audiology telehealth service Treble Health and Oto, a U.K. based digital health startup for tinnitus support, have announced a new partnership to extend access to Treble Health’s audiology telemedicine service for all subscribers to the Oto app.

From March 2022 Oto subscribers will be able to schedule an appointment in-app with a clinical specialist in audiology with a few simple clicks. Through the partnership, Treble will offer 1-on-1 specialist care for people living with tinnitus, providing direct access to their teams of leading audiologists.

The Oto app, built by an expert team of audiologists, doctors, therapists and researchers, compiles and consolidates the latest therapy techniques to support people to maximize their quality of life with tinnitus.

The World Health Organization reports as many as 42.7% of the global population experience tinnitus. The condition is not well understood and left unmanaged can have a significant impact on mental health and quality of life, presenting a significant unmet need for those affected.

We’re really excited to partner with Oto to develop accessible and forward-thinking solutions for tinnitus patients. Oto is hands down the best cognitive therapy app for tinnitus, and we have an opportunity to help individuals manage tinnitus better than ever before,” says Treble Health CEO, Dr. Ben Thompson. “Treble Health’s next-generation audiology services provide companies like Oto with fast, scalable, reliable resources to help serve their customers as they grow.”

Sharing Dr. Thompson’s excitement for the partnership, Oto’s co-founder Dr. Ed Farrar said: “The causes for tinnitus and the way the condition affects people is so varied and as a result even in the clinical community, understanding of how to effectively manage and support people living with tinnitus is still relatively limited. With COVID having significantly affected access to non-urgent care, we’re delighted that Treble Health can offer our users instant access to specialists at the forefront of tinnitus care.”
