 Clinigen boosts senior team with three strategic hires

LONDON, UK, 12th March 2024 Clinigen, the global pharmaceutical services company, today announces three strategic appointments to advance its transformation into a world leading pharma services company.

Nihad Hasagic, Senior Vice President Strategic Initiatives, Alex Johnson, Chief Transformation Officer and Axel Degremont, Senior Vice President, Commercial have joined Clinigen to strengthen the senior team.

Nihad Hasagic joins as SVP Strategic Initiatives and will be responsible for driving Clinigen’s strategic growth ambitions and spearheading the commercial strategy for the recently established Clinigen Lifecycle Services unit, as well as leading M&A efforts. Nihad has spent over 20 years in the Healthcare, Life Science and Specialty Chemicals industry working for Monitor, Ecolab and Arxada in various roles and functions having General Management and P&L responsibility, leading multiple acquisitions and integrations, and building and implementing various strategic marketing and corporate initiatives.

Alex Johnson joins as Chief Transformation Officer, responsible for end-to-end business transformation and supply chain operations across Clinigen’s EU and RoW regions.  Alex will drive Clinigen’s transformation into a world leading pharma services company and has over 20 years’ experience in business transformation and supply chain globally, with the last decade spent working at Director and VP level leading operational excellence and business change programmes for both FTSE100 and SP500 companies.

Axel Degremont, joins the Clinigen team as SVP Commercial. Axel is an experienced Sales and Marketing leader with over 25 years in the Pharmaceutical and Medical Devices industries. Axel has broad global experience across EMEA, US and APAC, and was most recently at Ecolab holding senior positions across Sales & Marketing in the Life Sciences Divisions. Axel will be responsible for building and implementing Clinigen’s Commercial and Business Development strategy across its services globally.
