Students invited to apprenticeship bootcamp within life sciences
Lund, Sweden – SmiLe Venture Hub is launching a new bootcamp aimed at students interested in entrepreneurship within the life science sector. The Health2Innovation apprenticeship Bootcamp targets international students and doctoral candidates who want to gain practical knowledge about developing digital products and healthtech solutions, with a particular focus on working with healthcare as a customer.
The bootcamp will take place 16 - 20 March at SmiLe’s facilities in Lund and is part of the EU-funded project Health2Innovation, a European collaboration involving 14 universities and organisations across 12 countries.
The initiative builds on a successful Health2Innovation event held in Lund last autumn, which gathered close to 200 participants and international experts and entrepreneurs, where one of the activities was a bootcamp. The speakers provided inspiration and practical guidance on opportunities and challenges in startup development.
During the March bootcamp, participants will receive individual coaching from experts with diverse competencies, attend lectures, network with peers and professionals, and gain insight into what healthcare is looking for, how new innovations are screened and implemented, as well as the extensive innovation support available both regionally and across Europe.
“This will be the second bootcamp arranged by SmiLe in Lund within the Health2Innovation project. The previous round attracted strong participation, and we look forward to giving more aspiring international entrepreneurs insight into the startup world and equipping them with tools and connections to pursue their ideas,” says Thomas Unt, Dept CEO, SmiLe Venture Hub.
More information about the project is available at the Health2Innovation website.
